Many of the assets risks due to their highly flammable nature tend to be foam enhanced. Typical use of the systems is in areas where the spread of a fire would be so rapid that a normal (closed bulb sprinkler system) would not react quickly enough to contain a fire, for example: in alcohol storage vessels, petrochemical refineries and pharmaceutical plants.
